When you are getting older and your children may already have their own life and busy with their own business, you might need companionship to of course company you and sometimes to help you in doing your day to day activities. When you are getting older there are many things that you cannot even do buy yourself like preparing your own meal. Your children or your grandchildren might don’t have much time to always company you at your house and help you doing things. If this happens, you might need help from trained assistance to company you and help you doing things.
Assisted living communities are might the right answer for this problem. In these facilities, your daily life will be supervised and assisted from trained assistant. The assistant has two main functions, which are to help you in doing your activities of daily living or as a companionship. There are many assisted living facilities that you will get, not just what were mentioned before, and there are still many facilities that you will get.
Skilled Nursing Facilities or SNF is one of the examples/ this facility is needed for senior adult who needs 24 hours intensive care for their illness. The nurse is available hourly or to live in in order to give the intensive care. Besides that there is also senior independent living that suitable for seniors who want to live with other seniors but without any intensive care or other health or assistant services. The only services provided are like meal, housekeeping and recreation. There are still other facilities that focused on special illness like dementia or Alzheimer. In this facility, the seniors who have dementia or Alzheimer will be given special treatment according to the stage of the illness, whether it is still at the early stage or acute stage.
